Career Resources for Athletic Training

  NATA Placement Vacancy Notices
You will need your NATA Membership number to gain access to the Position Vacancy Notices. If you are not a member of NATA, check with your staff or the Program Director to view these pages.

 NATA Membership
We highly recommend NATA membership to all athletic training majors. This is the national organization that guides the profession in the US. The resources of the NATA will become critical to your employment searches and future career.

Search, Resume, and Interview Resources (temporarily down)
The link is to a manual written specifically for athletic trainers. Other resources are available through the Iowa Career Center.

  Monthly Notices
At this site is a link to the e-mail of the program Director. Monthly notices held in archive from e-mail notices have been sent to upper class students and alumni wishing to receive placement notices. Contact the program Director if you are not on the mailing list and wish to receive the notices.

  Accredited Graduate Programs
The NATA Education Council publishes a listing of the currently accredited graduate programs in athletic training. Other graduate programs in the exercises sciences or kinesiology and professional school programs will be added to this site.

  Iowa Career Center
We highly recommend contacting the Career Center once you have been accepted as a major in athletic training. You can set up a portfolio and add to it over the course of your program involvement so that you will be ready for position searches during your final year of the program and beyond through your career.
