We encourage you to
come to campus and ask that your visit be tailored to your goals and
interests. Be sure to go through the Admission Visitors Center;
8:30am-4:30pm and on selected Saturdays. That gives you the best range
of options and some help in the process of getting to where you need to
go and talking to the people you need to meet. We suggest trying to
attend a class in athletic training, meeting with an athletic training
advisor, and seeing the facilities.
If you want the Admission
Visitors Center to help you with the process, call them at least two
weeks in advance of your intended visit at 1-800-553-IOWA or 319)
335-1569. |

Campus Parking and Maps |

Campus maps may be helpful because
the campus is deceptively large. Iowa City is located along several
major US routes: Interstate 80, Highway's 1, 6, and 218. You can find a
way to get to Iowa City from anywhere. The major airport closest to
Iowa City is the Eastern Iowa Airport 21 miles north of downtown Iowa
City. The center of the city of Iowa City is also where you will find
the main campus. The Iowa River separates the main campus into east and
west sides. The advising center is located on the west side (map)
of campus in the Quadrangle Dormotory. The athletic training offices
and facilities are also located on the west side (map)
of campus at the Field House and Carver Hawkeye Arena.
Parking is at a premium on campus but you can
locate parking ramps and lots easily near your destinations. For the
west side of campus, park either at the Field House
lot 6,
the University of Iowa
Hospitals and Clinics parking ramp, or the
west parking lot next to Carver Hawkeye Arena,
lot 46. |
