Practicum Assignment Description

 

Acculturation Activities as a Volunteer Assistant                                                    

                                                                                                           

 

Prepare equipment and supplies as directed for  activities involving patient care or observation as directed

 

 

 

Deliver equipment and supplies for health & safety activities as directed

 

 

 

Accompany patients to specialty clinics, UIHC and key University facilities related to service delivery as directed (such as Pharmacy, Processed Stores, Sports Medicine Clinic, etc)

 

 

 

Engage in facility and area sanitation and infection control once independent and as a team activity

 

 

 

Store and maintain equipment and supplies for health & safety activities as directed

 

 

 

Assist emergency care delivery to patients as provided in the Emergency Action Plan

 

 

 

Perform modality therapy and manual assisted exercise therapy on patients as qualified and as directed when an ATC may supervise

 

 

 

Adjust to facility and service related tasks as assigned by the Staff Supervisor
